Description

Lord Derby, a horse races organizer in the XVIIIth century, father of the famous Espom Derby, invented these shoes he gave his name to. His purpose was to get his jokeys wearing comfortable and pratical shoes while staying elegant during the races, a requirement during these events. Derby shoes, nowadays considered a basic of shoes for men, have kept the very same characteristics.

Crespin revisited this gentleman wardrobe standard to give it a more casual touch. Fully made in France in the finest tradition, the suede calf leather used for the shoe upper comes from “les tanneries Dupire”, a guarantee these shoes will last for years (if well maintained).

The blake welted construction we use adds fineness to these shoes. Using suede leather and only two eyelets make this model perfect to be worn in many different occasions. It will perfectly fit with jeans and chino pants.

It needs to be maintained with products specific to suede and nubuck leathers.
